For Businesses

Hire Undercover Agents to Test Your Business

Companies use Undercoverly to send vetted undercover agents into real locations — to mystery shop, audit compliance, test service quality, and verify operations. Pay only for results you approve.

What Businesses Test

Common undercover testing missions companies post on Undercoverly.

Mystery Shopping

Send agents undercover as customers to evaluate service quality, product knowledge, and store conditions.

Compliance Audits

Verify that staff follow protocols, safety standards, and company policies at real locations.

Service Quality Testing

Measure response times, cleanliness, and professionalism across your locations or franchises.

Loss Prevention

Test cash handling, return policies, and security procedures to find gaps before they cost you.

Competitor Intelligence

Gather publicly available intel on competitor pricing, displays, and customer experience.

Product Display Verification

Confirm that promotions, shelf placement, and signage are executed correctly in-store.

How It Works

From posting a testing mission to receiving a documented report.

Step 1

Post a Testing Mission

Describe what you want tested — the location, what to observe, and any specific criteria. No special jargon needed.

Step 2

Set the Reward

Decide how much you'll pay for a completed, documented report. You only pay for results you approve.

Step 3

Mission Review

Our team reviews every mission for safety and legality before it goes live to vetted agents.

Step 4

Agents Apply

Verified undercover agents in your area review the mission and submit applications with their approach.

Step 5

Select & Brief

Choose your agent, communicate securely through the platform, and share any briefing details you need.

Step 6

Review Proof & Pay

Receive a documented report with evidence. Approve the results and release the reward — escrow-protected.

Sample Agent Report

This is the kind of documented report your business receives after each undercover visit — star ratings, written observations, photo evidence, and a full history of past visits to track trends over time.

Agent Written Summary

I arrived at the location at 2:15 PM on a Thursday afternoon. The store had moderate foot traffic with about 8 other customers present. I was greeted within 30 seconds by a staff member near the entrance who smiled and asked if I needed help finding anything.

I browsed for approximately 15 minutes before approaching a staff member with a question about one of the featured products. The staff member was knowledgeable and offered a quick demonstration, which was a strong point. However, I noticed two advertised promotional items were completely out of stock on the endcap display, and the shelf had visible gaps.

The checkout process was smooth with a short wait, but the cashier did not mention the current loyalty program or attempt to suggest any complementary products. The restroom was in need of attention with empty paper towel dispensers and an overflowing trash bin. Overall the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, but product availability and upsell effort need attention.
